Deasign and development of programable notch filter for audio circuits
Dohnal, Jaroslav ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis discusses harmonic distortion and its measurement in the audio bandwidth using notch and tracking notch filters. The first chapter defines harmonic distortion and ways how harmonic distortion can be measured. The second chapter describes different notch filter topologies and their realizations for use in an audio band. It also describes the tracking part of a tracking notch filter. The third chapter shows a design of a notch filter using the state-variable topology, board layout and a control module for this programmable notch filter. It also describes A/D converter with USB interface used for making measurements in chapter four.
Meter of Total Harmonic Distortion and Dynamic Range
Mezin, Mikhail ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
The purpose of the document is to show a design of measuring instrument and method for total haronic distortion and dynamic range measurement, with a focus on construction simplicity. A brief overview of currently used methods and circuits was done, and on it’s basis, own device variant was designed.
Operation of a distribution system with resistance welders
Zelený, Miroslav ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with assessment of the influence of two fundamental types of resistance welders operation on chosen power quality parameters at the point of common coupling (PCC) of the power network. The assessed parameters of power quality are the total harmonic distortion of the supply voltage, asymmetry of the supply voltage and the level of short term flicker at the point of common coupling. The assessment is based on the comparison of the results of computer simulations done in PSCad 4.2.0 with the requirements of technical standards. The outcome of this thesis is the determination of allowable limits for physical and operation parameters for the general arrangement of a power distribution network and a resistance welder that should guarantee the power quality compliance.
Voltage quality index for distribution systems voltage quality benchmarking
Hausner, Josef ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with design of a new method for voltage quality benchmarking using voltage quality index. This index should determinate total voltage quality in the power grid and compare voltage quality in different places. There is design of several algorithms which value measured parameters in this thesis. The best suitable algorithm is selected. Program for this algorithm was compiled in GUI Matlab. The algorithm is verified by using measured parameters in this program. The last part of this thesis is focused on possible usage of created algorithm.
A laboratory task to verify the properties of audio devices
Staňková, Karolína ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Mikulka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is familiarization with the parameters of an audio device and their measurements according to the standards (AES17-2018 and ČSN EN 60268-3). A laboratory task for the Measurement in Audio Engineering course is designed, based on the study of the standards. The first part of the thesis deals with detailed analysis of the measurements of different parameters of audio device. The described procedures are consequently employed to design the laboratory task. The second part of this thesis is dedicated to design the laboratory task. The automatized system based on HP VEE platform was developed to provide the multiple measurement. The attachments of this thesis contain the student’s manual for the laboratory task, the sample protocol, the testing measurement manual and the sample protocol for the testing measurement.
Input audio preamplifier used for laboratory measurements
Kučera, Ondřej ; Kaller, Ondřej (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This article looks at pre-input low-frequency amplifiers for laboratory work. The task was to study, design and build a fully functional pre-input amplifier for use in low frequency audio technology. In each section, we will discuss the various preamps, which are classified according to signal processing parameters. The construction of each amplifier uses discrete components and operational amplifiers. The second part of the article looks at different measuring devices, such as input sensitivity, transfer characteristics and input impedance etc., which would form part of the amplifier.
